Daffodil International University (DIU) Alumni Association has organised a ‘Gala Get Together’ at its permanent campus in Saver upazila of Dhaka.
Around 1000 alumni students joined the day-long event with their family on Friday. The programme was included with raffle draw, sports, cultural programme etc, says a media release.
Dr. Md Sabur Khan, chairman of board of trustees of the DIU, was present at the programme as the chief guest.
Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, vice chancellor of the DIU, Professor Dr. S M Mahbub Ul Haque Majumdar, pro vice-chancellor, Professor Engineer A K M Fazlul Haqur, registrar, Professor Golam Mowla, controller of examination of the DIU, were also present at the programme.
“The pride of DIU is our alumni student. They are doing job in various multinational company in home and abroad. And this way they added value into DIU,” Dr. Md. Sabur Khan said.
He said, “There is no doubt that our alumni is the representative of Daffodil International University.”
“We have to create a correlation between running students and alumni students. Alumni Association will be the bridge among them,” Dr. Sabur said.
“Running students will learn various things from alumni students if we make this bridge. Running students can also learn from alumni about the problems of professional life,” he added.
The DIU Alumni Association of UK will organise a get together in London, UK on 24 February, 2019, said the release.
