Using Micellar water as a facial skin cleanser

Using Micellar water as a facial skin cleanser

Face cleanser can strip natural oils from your skin. Micellar water is very gentle and helps to draw away any impurities by attracting them to the molecules suspended in the water solution. So, Micellar water is less likely to dry and irritate your skin.

Micellar water is commonly used as a face cleanser and a toner. First, you need to know how to use this special solvent properly.

Cleaning process of micellar water

Micellar water is made from purified water, moisturisers like glycerin, and mild surfactants, compounds used for cleansing.

The molecules of these mild surfactants aggregate to form micelles, a type of spherical chemical structure that helps to pull dirt and oil from our skin.

Benefits

Glycerin in Micellar water helps to hydrate our skin. Applying glycerin to irritated skin effectively restores skin hydration and enhances the skin's natural barrier function. It also helps speed up wound healing, protect against irritation, and improve the skin's hydration level. Surfactants of micellar water are mild and gentle.

Micellar water is generally used as a face cleanser to remove makeup, dirt, and oil from the skin. Micelles can also increase your skin's permeability by allowing you to reach deeper layers of your skin. Glycerin can also increase the effectiveness of cleansing compounds for deep cleaning.

Micellar water is also versatile and well suited for any skin type. For those who have sensitive skin or conditions like rosacea, micellar water is a saviour as it is free from harsh and irritating ingredients. Glycerin in micellar water can reduce inflammation and irritation of our skin.

Micellar water helps to keep skin clear from deep layers or to clean the large to small pores. Acne can be caused by blocked pores, which become inflamed and turn into pimples.

However, it is not the best solution for acne. Instead, you should rely on a mild face wash that can reduce pores, blackheads, and acne. To clean your face, pour some micellar water on a cotton pad and rub gently to clean all the impurities. This reduces the hassle of cleaning brushes or washcloths that can spread germs.

On the other hand, Micellar water is handy and portable. It is easy to use and convenient for any skin issues. As it works as a makeup remover and can tone our skin, it helps to reduce the need for more skincare products.

The drawback of using micellar water is that it can't be used without a cotton pad or makeup-removing sponge. You need to thoroughly clean your face with a face scrub or face wash after removing makeup with micellar water. Other than these, its benefits are amazing for regular purposes.
