The second edition of Paara Utshab took place in the capital's Gulshan area on Friday (yesterday).
Co-hosted by Heroes for All (HFA) and Gulshan Society with support from Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), the event arranged activities for all age groups, according to a press release.
LGRD Minister Muhammad Tajul Islam and DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam inaugurated the event at 11:00 am. Dr Rehnuma Karim of HFA and Shayaan Seraj of Gulshan Society led the event, which Prime Bank sponsored.
This year's Paara Utshab was divided into different zones that hosted a variety of stalls and experiences, including Health & Well-being, Knowledge & Awareness, Arts & Crafts, Activity and play.
The event also featured a talent show, Slam poetry, mini workshops on arts and crafts, street drama, CPR, and a First Aid Session.
One of the event's highlights was '50 years of Bangladesh History' - a special exhibition by the Bengal Foundation.
Turkis Ambassador Mustafa Osman Turan, Norwegian Ambassador Espen Rikter-Svendsen, Member of Parliament Naheed Ezaher Khan, Secretary General of Gulshan Society Barrister Shukla Sarwat Siraj, Prime Bank AMD ANM Mahfu were also present at the event.
