Are you still doing ten step skincare routine every single time? Now the time is for science-backed formulas and an overall minimalist approach to skincare. K-beauty has introduced clean and vegetarian ingredients to help you out with skin issues. You need to maintain a skincare routine according to your skin’s needs and keep it as simple as possible.

K-beauty is known as the glass skin effect worldwide. You have been using goat milk for rejuvenating the skin with protein and fatty acids or using a weekly face mask of goat milk.

This beauty trend emerged in South Korea and spread throughout the globe in the past few years. It is ever-changing and comes with innovative beauty trends every year.

Here are the ingredient lists that k-beauty follows.

Hanbang ingredients

Hangbang ingredients include ginseng root, houttuynia cordata, sacred lotus, and Rehmannia boast. These are traditional herbal ingredients of Korea and have been used in medicines for a long time. They have anti-aging, anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties in them.

Acid layering

Korean beauty is incorporating more acid into skincare products but with an optimal amount. Too much can irritate the skin barrier, and too little will be of no benefit.

Using the right balance of AHAs and BHAs will gently exfoliate our skin and removes dead skin cells. This will make the skin smoother. AHAs and BHAs are safe to use as they are derived from plants.

Carrot

K-beauty has been using carrot oil in its skincare range for more than ten years. This ingredient contains vitamin A, which is a great anti-oxidant. Vitamin A is enriched with anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging properties. So carrot oil is an ideal ingredient to brighten up our skin.

Gentle retinol

Retinol is well known for its anti-aging property. It tightens the skin barrier and keeps it youthful. But k-beauty has an approach to using a lower percentage so that the skin stays healthier and less irritated. Retinol is enriched with many skin benefits other than aging properties.

Centella Asiatica

Centella Asiatica is a herb with anti-inflammatory properties or simply known as cica. Cica can soothe the skin and give a calming effect. People dealing with stressed and dull skin should include cica in their skincare routine to calm irritated skin.

Clean beauty

Products with harmful chemicals and fragrances are quite damaging to our skin than providing benefits. K-beauty adds a range of fewer chemical additives, artificial ingredients, and fragrances.

In replacement, they are using plant-based ingredients and becoming a vegan brand. This will help to improve your skin condition naturally, other than any side effects.

Skin detoxifying and barrier strengthening

Our skin is a reflection of our mental state. Mushrooms, mugwort, and ginger are barrier-strengthening ingredients and can boost immunity. This year ceramides will make a comeback, too, as this ingredient can form a protective layer to help the skin from moisture loss and damage.

So, you can create your minimalist skincare routine according to your skin’s needs and focus on only one skin problem at a time. Generally, a skin issue needs at least two months to be cured and then focus on another skin issue.
