Rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind may continue to occur across the country on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to an official at Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
Talking to The Financial Express, Abdul Mannan, a BMD meteorologist, said light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Chattogram, Khulna & Barishal divisions.
Moderately heavy to heavy rain falls may occur at places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions, he added.
The BMD in a weather forecast said day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
In its 24-hour forecast, the Met Office said a trough of low lies over West Bengal and the adjoining area of Bangladesh.
In its 72-hour outlook, it said rain/thunder showers are likely to continue.
