Three people, including a child, went missing after a small boat capsized in the Padma River at Dighi Gohailbari in Sadar upazila from Pabna district.
The missing people are Hashem, Bipul and Naim.
Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Obaidul Haque said a small boat with 11 people on board sank while crossing the Padma River around 2:30pm.
Eight people managed to swim ashore while three others remained missing.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Joynal Abedin said a team of divers from Rajshahi started a salvage operation, reports UNB.
