Thailand's princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn arrives in Dhaka today (Monday) on a four-day visit to Bangladesh.
The Thai princess will lead an 11-member government delegation in connection with the philanthropic projects.
She took up the projects in Bangladesh in 2011 under her father, late King Bhumibols's Royal Chai Pattana Foundation.
State minister for foreign affairs Md. Shahriar Alam will receive the Thai Princess at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, the Bangladesh Embassy in Thailand said in a statement.
During her visit, the princess is scheduled to call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and foreign minister A. H. Mahmood Ali.
She will also exchange views with agriculture minister Matia Chowdhury and cultural minister Asaduzzaman Noor.
Princess Sirindhorn is scheduled to visit various ongoing royal projects in Bangladesh under the Royal Chaipattana Foundation.
The foundation is involved in public health and sanitation projects for school children, sustainable agriculture projects for farmers in Bangladesh.
Other projects include the Sufficiency Economy Learning Centre at the Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation all under the sufficiency economy philosophy pioneered by her late father.
