Police have rescued an kidnapped trader from Kamalganj of Moulvibazar two days after he was taken.
Law enforcers have also detained three over the abduction, said Shamshernagar Police Outpost Inspector Arup Kumar Chowdhury.
Champa Das, 45, is the owner of local business Promi Health Care.
The detainees were Md Shukur Ahmed, 48, Mohit Ahmed, 35, and Kawser Ahmed, 25.
Champa Das was picked up in a car by several men from Shamshernagar on Thursday, Inspector Chowdhury said. The ‘kidnappers’ then called his family and asked for a ransom.
