PM returns home after visiting Italy, Vatican City

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home on Saturday evening concluding her four-day official visit to Italy and Vatican City.

An Etihad Airways flight carrying the Prime Minister landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 8:15pm, reports UNB.

Meanwhile, BSS said, the Prime Minister reached Abu Dhabi on Thursday morning from Rome to return home after a stopover in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) capital.

Sources said, an Etihad Airways flight carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage members left Abu Dhabi International Airport for Dhaka at 1.35 pm (Abu Dhabi time).

The PM departed Leonardo da-Vinci Fiumicino Airport in Rome for Abu Dhabi at 10 am local time on Wednesday (3 am BST Thursday).

The Prime Minister attended the annual governing council meeting of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in Italy.

Sheikh Hasina also visited the Holy See (Vatican City) at an invitation of Pope Francis.

She held meetings with the Pope and Secretary State of Vatican City Cardinal Pietro Paroline.
