PM inaugurates BNA Bangabandhu Complex in Ctg

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated BNA Bangabandhu Complex, the first international standard training academy of Bangladesh Navy, at Bangladesh Naval Academy (BNA) in Chittagong.

The complex has been built on the bank of the Karnaphuli River with a 41-feet high bronze made bust of Bangabandhu in front, is a unique architecture from aesthetic point of view, reports BSS.

The Bangabandhu Complex has all modern facilities with 16 buildings and other infrastructures for academic activities and training as well as residential purposes.

The ship-like complex also has also wardroom, parade ground, swimming pool, boat-pool and other facilities.

To ensure international standard training, it has seamanship, antisubmarine, gunnery and communication model room, chart room, library, computer and language club, modern auditorium and seven different types of laboratories.

Earlier, the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina laid the foundation stone of the complex on December 29, 2010.

Navy Chief Admiral Mohammad Nizamuddin Ahmed on Wednesday received the prime minister on her arrival at the Naval Academy at the morning.
