A Dhaka court has ordered national daily newspapers to publish notices asking five fugitives to appear before the court in blogger Nazimuddin Samad murder case.
Judge Mojibur Rahman of Dhaka’s Anti-Terrorism Special Tribunal court on Tuesday passed the order against chief of military wing of Ansar Al Islam sacked army major Syed Ziaul Haque Zia and four others on charge of killing blogger Nazim Uddin Samad.
The other four fugitive accused are-- Md Waliullah alias Oli, Sabbirul Haque Chowdhury alias Konik, Mawlana Junayed Ahmed alias Junayed, and Akram Hossain.
The others accused are- Rashidun Nabi Bhuiyan alias Tipu alias Rassel alias Rafiq alias Raihan, Mozammel Hossain alias Saimon, Md Arafat Rahman, and Md Sheikh Abdullah.
The day (Tuesday) was set for the submission of the report on the attachment order.
The five fugitive accused were ordered to appear before the court after the submission of the report in this regard.
The court also asked to submit a copy to the court by publishing a notification in two national dailies by June 15.
On April 6, 2016, a group of militants hacked and shot Nazim Uddin Sada, a law student of Jagannath University, to death at Ekrampur intersection in Old Dhaka’s Sutrapur area.
