The physical condition of 12-year-old Muktamoni, who was diagnosed with a tumour in her hand in August 2017, is critical.
Muktamoni's father Ibrahim Hossain, a grocery shop owner of Kamarbaisa village in Satkhira Sadar upazila, said, "The infection in her hand has spread all over. Bad odour comes out from her hand when the bandage is pulled off for dressing."
Sever blooding occurs when dressing is done, said her father.
Muktamoni's right hand has completely been decomposed, said her father adding, "We have left all hope. Now only Allah can save her."
Ibrahim Hossain also said they have discussed her condition with Dr Samanta Lal Sen, coordinator of Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
"Seeing the photos of her hand, the doctor said her condition is critical," he added.
Muktamoni drew the nation's attention with an abnormally large right arm.
On 12 August, doctors at DMCH removed a three-kilogramme tumour from her arm after a biopsy showed the tumour in the artery of her hand.
The girl later underwent three more consecutive surgeries on her right arm on 29 August, 5 September, and 8 October.
Meanwhile, UNB reported, Muktamoni's mother Ayesha Khatun said the doctors have treated her cordially and thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her special care.
"Now the fate of Muktamoni fully depends on Allah," she added.
