A mild cold wave is sweeping over Nilphamari, Panchagarh, Kurigram, Pabna, Naogaon and Chudanga which may continue in the next 24-hour, according to a Met office bulletin.
The 24-hour bulletin starting from 6:00am today (Tuesday) also said moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country from midnight to morning and it may continue at places over the northwestern part of the country till noon.
The weather may remain dry over the country, as per the bulletin.
Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining area, it said adding that seasonal low lies over South Bay.
Night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it said.
In its 72 hours forecast, the Met bullet said night temperature may fall.
The lowest temperature recorded 9.2 degree Celsius at Tetulia at 6:00am today (Tuesday), according to the bulletin.
