Law Minister Annisul Huq wants to sit with the top court judges on Thursday to end the longs-standing complexity over the issuance of the gazette on the service rules for lower court judges.
The court has been informed about this and the meeting could be 'tentatively' on Thursday, said Attorney General Mahbubey Alam after an Appellate Division hearing on Sunday.
The hearing was held on the petition that wants four more weeks for the government to publish the gazette. The court allowed the time.
Earlier on July 30, Law Minister Huq submitted a draft on the judges’ service rules but Chief Justice SK SK Sinha declined and vented anger over the use of some words and articles in the gazette.
