A two-day international conference, titled 'Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and His Legacy' will begin at Jahangirnagar University (JU) Sunday.
Leading researchers from Bangladesh, India, Canada, Germany and Sweden will take part in the conference, where a total of 15 keynote papers and 102 research papers on Bangabandhu will be presented, reports UNB.
Conference convener Prof Mezbah Kamal said, "We are going to present the research programme to generate interest among the youth to do research on Bangabandhu."
Vice-Chancellor Prof Farzana Islam will inaugurate the international conference at the Zahir Raihan Auditorium of JU. Planning Minister Abdul Mannan MP will be present as the chief guest.
Former Vice-Chancellor of India's Rabindra Bharati University Prof Pabitra Sarkar, an eminent academic, will attend the conference.
