Flight operations at the country's main aviation hub, Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA), will remain suspended from 12:00 am to 8:00 am every day for three months from December 10.
"From December 10, 2021, to March 11, 2022, between 0000 hrs to 0800 hrs (local time), HSIA Runway will not be available for (aircraft) takeoff and landing due to construction work of new connecting high-speed taxiway," HSIA Executive Director Group Captain AHM Touhid-ul Ahsan said on Wednesday, reports BSS.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh, aircraft will have to use Sylhet International Airport in case of an emergency landing within that time.
