The government has promoted five officials of administration cadre, who were performing as additional secretaries, to the rank of secretary, and transferred six secretary-level public servants to new offices.
The Public Administration Ministry on Monday issued a gazette notification, signed by Deputy Secretary to the Public Administration Ministry ABM Iftekharul Islam Khandker, in this regard, reports BSS.
According to the notification, the project director (additional secretary) of the Ashrayan project under the Prime Minister's Office Md Mahbub Hossain has been promoted as secretary of the Anti-Corruption Commission, additional secretary of energy and mineral resources division Muhammad Abdul Hamid Zamaddar as secretary of the Bangladesh Civil Service Commission Secretariat, divisional commissioner (additional secretary) of Rajshahi Dr Md Humaiun Kabir to the secretary of the railway ministry, chairman of Rajdhani Unnayan Katripakkha (RAJUK) ABM Amin Ullah Nuri promoted to the rank of secretary and posted in RAJUK as Chairman and divisional commissioner (additional secretary) of Barisal Md Saiful Hasan Badal to secretary of the health education and family welfare division.
Among the transferred officials-- Secondary and Higher Education Division Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain was transferred to the Energy and Mineral Resources Division while secretary to the Women and Children Affairs Ministry Md Sayedul Islam was made the agriculture secretary.
Secretary of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Dr Md Anwar Hossain Hawlader has been made secretary to the Women and Children Affairs Ministry, and Bridges Division secretary and Bangladesh Bridges Authority executive director Abu Bakar Siddique has been transferred to the Secondary and Higher Education Division as its secretary.
Rector of Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (secretary) Md Monjur Hossain has been made the secretary of Bridges Division and the Bangladesh Bridges Authority executive director, while Planning Commission member (secretary) Ramendra Nath Biswas has been transferred to Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre as its rector.
