The Election Commission (EC) has finalised a total of 40,199 polling stations across the country for holding the 11th parliamentary elections slated for December 30.
The commission has started publishing gazettes after finalising the polling stations, said EC Deputy Secretary Md Abdul Halim Khan on Tuesday.
The EC has legal obligation to publish gazettes on the lists of the voting centres at least 25 days before the election.
The list of polling stations for each of 300 constituencies is being published in gazettes.
Some 104.2 million voters will be allowed to exercise their franchise in the election through the 40,199 polling stations across the country, reports UNB.
In the 10th parliamentary elections, there were 37,707 polling stations for some 91.9 million voters across the country.
