Akhter Hossain, a student of Dhaka University, has been continuing hunger strike for the third consecutive day on Thursday demanding cancellation of 'Gha' unit results and retaking of the admission test.
Akhter, a third year student of Law Department and a resident of Ziaur Rahaman Hall, started his hunger strike at the foot of Raju memorial sculpture at 12 noon on Tuesday protesting leakage of question paper in the 'Gha' unit admission test.
"If question paper leak continues, there will be no scope for the brilliant students to get admitted to the university. It would hamper our whole education system in the long run," Akhter said.
Demanding the punishment of the masterminds of questions leak syndicate Akhter said, "This ill practice could not be stopped until the arrest of mastermind of the gang. It is the responsibility of all to protest question leak."
"I will continue my protest until the DU authorities take step to cancel the results of 'Gha' unit admission test and retake it," he added, reports UNB.
The authorities of DU on Tuesday afternoon published the 'Gha' Unit admission test results amid allegation of question paper leak.
Meanwhile, a group of students brought out a procession on the campus around 12 noon on Thursday and took position in front of the Vice-Chancellor's office.
Chanting slogans more than 200 students from different departments of the university demanded cancellation of the results and retake of the admission test.
Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and Bangladesh General Students Rights Protection Council, a platform which led the quota reform movement, expressed their solidarity with him on Wednesday.
