Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and UNICEF Bangladesh have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to improve the delivery of basic services to the children in urban poor communities.
They have teamed up with an aim to ensure the overall welfare of the children growing up in city slums.
The signing ceremony was held at the DSCC conference room on Thursday noon.
Khan Mohammad Bilal, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and Edouard Beigbeder, a representative from UNICEF Bangladesh signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.
The CEO of the DSCC also chaired the signing ceremony.
UNICEF Bangladesh will provide all sorts of technical support in the implementation of the programme, according to the agreement.
Senior officials of DSCC and UNICEF Bangladesh were present, among others, in the function.
