The Directorate of National Consumers Right Protection on Wednesday inaugurates a consumer complaint management system (CCMS) portal aiming the consumers could file complaints in an easy and convenient way.
The Directorate (DNCRP) organised the inauguration in a hybrid mode at its head office in Dhaka, chaired by its director general AHM Shafiquzzaman.
Mr Shafiquzzaman said the web portal and software CCMS has been developed for simplifying the consumers' complaint filing process as well as for better complaint settlement by the Directorate.
He said it is also the continuation of the country's journey to be a techno-friendly digital Bangladesh.
He said the Directorate has been witnessing great challenge as it has now 3,748 pending cases.
The portal and the software could help provide the desired service to the consumers through quick settlement of those outstanding complaints, he added.
DNCRP director Manjur Mohammad Shahriar, it's deputy director Atia Sultana also spoke among others.
