DMP fines people, organisations for breaching social distancing rules

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in separate mobile court drives on Sunday fined different people and organisations a total of Tk 18,400 for allegedly violating the government’s social distancing measures amid the ongoing coronavirus shutdown.

Several DMP teams, headed by its executive magistrates, conducted the drives in the capital and also fined different people and vehicles for breaching the order.

Law enforcement agencies with the help of Bangladesh Army have been implementing the government directives on social distancing throughout the country aiming to stem the spread of coronavirus.
