Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia on Saturday said it is a must to create awareness among the people to obey traffic rule alongside development of infrastructure.
He said this while visiting overall activities of traffic police at Shahbagh in the capital, marking the month-long awareness campaign started from September 4 and to be continued over the month.
“It would be tougher for police alone to bring discipline in the traffic management system without creating awareness among the people on not to violate the traffic rule,” he also said.
The DMP chief has vowed to take action against police personnel if they are found involved in traffic rule violation, reports BSS.
