Police recovered the body of a Dhaka College student from a house at Mirpur-2 in capital Dhaka on Tuesday.

The body, identified as that of Al-amin, 26 to 27, was found with throat slit and hands tied together.

An inspector at Mirpur Police Station, Mizanur Rahman said he might have been strangled to death.

The victim along with another person rented one of the house rooms for a day for Tk 400 on Monday.

The next day, they were not leaving the room and so the caretaker went to see them in the afternoon.

But no response came out from the room and he peeped into the room only to find the dead body.

Inspector Rahman said they were immediately informed of this and a team of them recovered the body.

He added that they have sent the body to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination.
