Two Indians held at Benapole

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested two Indian nationals with $29,600 from the port area on Thursday.

BGB-49 Commanding Officer Lt Col Selim Reza said a BGB team searched a ‘Shyamoli Paribahan’ bus at Amrakhali acting on a tip-off and arrested Rakesh Mandal with $25,000 in the morning.

Rakesh is a resident of West Bengal. He was involved with Hundi business, says a news agency report.

In a separate incident, BGB arrested another Indian national, Ashok Biswas, 29, of West Bengal, with $4,600 at Amrakhali at night.
