A mobile court on Thursday sentenced two people to six months of imprisonment on drug charges at Arpara Bazar under Shalikha upazila in Magura.
They are Zillu Sheikh, 40, hailing from Shalikha upazila of the district, and Emdadul Biswas, 23, hailing from its adjacent district Jashore.
Shalikha Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sumi Majumdar, also an executive magistrate, conducted the mobile court.
According to the court details, Emdadul and Zillu were jailed as the former was caught selling hemp to the latter in the afternoon. Some 500 grams of hemp was recovered from them, reports UNB.
