Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Tuesday arrested a duo along with two firearms and nine bullets from the bus stand area in Chapainawabganj district town.
The arrestees were identified as Abu Syed Sabuj, 24, son of Gazlur Rahman of Namatola village in Shibganj upazila and Akkas Ali, 45, son of Shaheb Ali of Morolganj village in Bagerhat district.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-5 conducted a drive in the area around 9:30 am and detained them along with two pistols, nine bullets and four magazines, said Squadron Leader Syed Abdullah, commander of RAB-5.
The elite force also recovered some international currency from their possession, reports UNB.
