Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a suspected arms trader along with firearms from Ekhlaspur area in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj on Friday night.
The arrestee was identified as Mainul Islam (38), son of Shamsuddin, hailing from Gomostopur upazila, reports UNB.
A team of the elite force conducted a drive and arrested Mainul along with a pistol, one revolver, a magazine and five bullets, said Mohammad Syed Abdullah Al- Murad, squadron leader and camp commander of RAB-5.
A case was filed in this connection.
