Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a suspected drug trader along with 3,925 Yaba tablets from a bus at Madam Bibirhat in Sitakundu upazila of Chattogram early Monday.
The arrestee is Md Roni Miah, 31, son of Md Lasker Miah, hailing from Sarishabari upazila in Jamalpur.
On information, a team of RAB-7 set up a check post on Dhaka-Chattogram highway, stopped a 'Shyamoli Paribahan' bus and started searching its passengers, said a RAB press release.
At one stage, Roni Miah tried to flee the bus, UNB reported citing the release.
However, the RAB members managed to detain Roni.
Later, they recovered the Yaba tablets worth Tk 1.96 million from his bag.
