Police recovered the body of a man, said to be member of an extremist group, from Hugoldanga in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Bari Haque, 38, son of Babu Haque of Karimpur village in the upazila.
Local farmers spotted the body in the field and informed police who recovered it and sent it to upazila health complex morgue, UNB reports.
Abu Rasel, assistant superintendent of Chuadanga police, said Bari is believed to have been killed in exchange of fire between two extremist groups as he was wanted in five cases, including that of robbery.
