Police on Tuesday morning recovered a bullet riddled body of a young man from Belgaichi area in Chuadanga city.
The deceased was identified as Sun Ahmed, 25, son of Helal Uddin of Mazerpara area of the city.
Locals found the bullet-riddled body at the Gangachara field and informed the police, said Chuadanga Police Superintendent Mahbubur Rahman.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, reports UNB.
According to police super, "Sun was a terrorist. He was a suspect in eight different cases, including robbery and snatching. Numerous cases were filed against him with different police stations."
Police are now investigating to find the killer, he added.
However, relatives of the deceased said a team of police conducted a drive at his resident, Sun fled away sensing their presence by jumping from the roof with policemen at his back. It is heard that he was shot dead," the relative added.
