Police nab Meherpur UP member with arms

Police arrested a union parishad (UP) member along with a foreign made pistol, three bullets, phensedyl and yaba pills from his house at Chargoal village under Gangni upazila of Meherpur district Thursday morning.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a drive at the house of Milon Hossain (38), a member of Matmura union and nabbed him, said Anwar Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of the police station.

A case has been filed in this connection, according to a local news agency.
