Police detain 56 in Mymensingh

Police in a special drive arrested 56 people from different parts of Mymensingh on Wednesday.

Additional superintendent Joyeeta Shilpi of Mymensingh Police said, among the arrestees, 25 were accused in drug related cases.

Kotwali Model Police Station arrested nineteen people while six each from Bhaluka and Ishwarganj, five each from Nandail and Tarakanda, four from Trishal, two each from Muktagaccha, Gafargaon, Gouripur, Phulpur and Dhobaura, and one each from Pagla, Phulbaria, and Haluaghat Police Stations, according to a UNB report.
