Police in a drive arrested a member of ‘organ trading’ syndicate from Telihar village in Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha district on Thursday night.
The arrestee was identified as Rahim Uddin, 37, son of Sahir Uddin of the village, reports UNB.
Acting on secret information, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Rahim from the village around 9:00 pm.
Mehedi Hasan, officer-in-charge of Gobindaganj Police Station, said Rahim had long been involved in the illegal trading and he used to allure poor people to sell kidney in exchange of money.
