A former army man was killed allegedly by muggers in Bogra district town early Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Jahan Box, 50, a former warrant officer of Bangladesh Army and resident of the Colony area in the town.
Emdad Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said a group of muggers waylaid Jahan around 5 am while he was heading towards his residence on foot after getting off a bus coming from Dhaka, and tried to snatch valuables from him, reports UNB.
