A trader was stabbed to death by some unidentified miscreants near Municipality market in Dhaka's Kafrul area on Wednesday night.
The victim was Shahjahan Rubel aged 45 years old. He was the owner of Raha Partex at Ibrahimpur in the area and hailed from Ramganj upazila of Laxmipur.
Victim's brother Mehedi Hasan said some miscreants indiscriminately stabbed Shahjahan while he was returning home at night after closing his shop.
He was in a critical state when brought to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, UNB reported.
Sub-inspector of the hospital police camp Bacchu Mia said Shahjahan succumbed to his injuries at around 11:15 pm.
