A man was stabbed to death by miscreants at Subidbazar in Sylhet on Saturday midnight.
The deceased was identified as Shimul Deb (32), son of Samaresh Deb, a resident of Fazil Chist in Subidbazar, a news agency reported.
Quoting neighbours, Mosharraf Hossian, officer-in-charge of Airport Police Station, said two groups of people locked into a clash in front of a superstore in Subidbazar area in the evening.
Shimul came out of home at night after getting a call. Later, some miscreants hacked him indiscriminately in Nurani Residential area of Subidbazar, leaving him dead on the spot.
The murder took place in a sequel to clash, locals claimed.
On information, police recovered the body around 12am, said the OC, adding that drives are on to arrest the killers.
