Police in a drive arrested a suspected arms trader along with a pistol at Sonatankathi in Sharsha upazila of Jashore district on Wednesday night.
The arrestee Rafiqul Islam was a son of Siddiqur Rahman of Raripukur village in the uapzila.
Sharsha Police Station’s sub-inspector Abdul Hossain was quoted by UNB news agency as saying that tipped off, a team of them conducted a drive in the area and arrested Rafiqul along with a pistol and a magazine.
A case was filed with Sharsha Police Station in this connection.
