Police in separate drives arrested 15 persons including two activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and three activists of BNP from different areas of Dinajpur in last 12-hour ending at 8 am on Tuesday morning.
Law enforcers also recovered 200 bottles of Phensidyl and 3,000 pieces of cow fattening tablets during the drives.
Police said they were picked up from different areas of the district, reports BSS.
During the special drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested seven persons including three activists of BNP from Kalitola around 8pm, Birganj Thana police arrested two persons and Chirirbandar Thana police arrested six persons including two activists of Jamaat-e-Islami from Nosrotpur around 6am of the upazila.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources added.
Meanwhile, members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive detained three alleged drug traders with 200 bottles of Phensidyl and 3,000 pieces of cow fattening tablets around 5am from Hili railway station in Hakimpur upazila of the district.
Later, the detained persons were handed over to the Hakimpur Thana police, BGB said.
The arrested people were sent to jail.
