Law enforcers, in special drives arrested 30 suspects including 10 drug traders from different areas of Dinajpur district in last 12-hour ending at 8 am Monday morning.
Law enforcers also seized 800 pieces of Yaba tablets, 350 litres of locally-made liquor and 112 bottles of Phensidyl during the drives.
Police said they were picked up from different areas of the district on different charges.
During the drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested five persons including two drug traders with 800 pieces of Yaba tablets, Biral Thana police arrested two people, Birganj Thana police arrested two, Kaharole Thana police arrested three, Chirirbandar Thana police detained three suspects, Khansama Thana police arrested three suspects, Birampur Thana police arrested two, Phulbari Thana police arrested two, Parbatipur Than police arrested three drug traders with 350 litres of locally-made liquor and Ghoraghat Thana police arrested three drug traders with 12 bottles of Phensidyl.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrestees, the sources added.
Meanwhile, members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive detained two drug traders with 100 bottles of Phensidyl around 11 pm from Hili Railway Station in Hakimpur upazila of the district, reports BSS.
Later, the detainees were handed over to the Hakimpur Thana police, BGB said.
The arrested suspects were then were sent to jail.
