Cops seize 26,800 Yaba tablets in Sirajganj

A team of detective branch (DB) detained two drug traders and seized 26,800 Yaba tablets from Shahidganj area in Sirajganj on early Friday.
The arrestees are Abdul Matin, 35, son of late Rafiqul Islam of the area, and Sabuj, 31, son of late Siraj Ali, hailing from Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur district, reports UNB.
Being tipped-off that Matin was scheduled to receive a big consignment of the contraband tablets in the night, DB men conducted a drive at dawn and detained the culprits along with the tablets, said Abu Yousuf, additional superintendent of Sirajganj police.
A case was filed with Sadar Police Station in this connection, he added.
