Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive detained a suspected arms trader along with six foreign pistols and 18 rounds of bullets from Chalkpara border area in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj on early Monday.
A team of BGB-59 raided the house of Maznu Miah, 55, son of late Abul Hossain, around 1:30 am and seized the arms, said Lt Cl Md Rashed Ali, commanding officer of BGB.
Police nabbed Maznu but another arms trader managed to flee, reports a local news agency.
