Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested 14 people while they were returning home from India without any valid documents along Amrakhali border in benapole on Tuesday morning.
Being informed that several people were going to Barishal on a BRTC bus after crossing the border illegally, a team of BGB raided the bus in the morning and arrested them, said Lt Col Ariful Haque, commanding officer of BGB-49 battalion.
Among the arrestees, three were female and two children, hailing from Barishal, UNB reported.
Later, the arrestees were handed over to Benapole Port Police Station, he added.
