Two people, including a woman, have died in a gas cylinder blast at Adinath Temple in Maheshkhali upazila under Cox's Bazar.
The accident took place as they were selling gas balloons in front of the temple during a seven-day fair on the occasion of Shiva Puja at about 11:00am on Wednesday, reports UNB.
Both of the victims, whose identities could not be known immediately, died on the spot, said Prodwip Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of Maheshkhali Police Station.
The bodies have been sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
