A class-three student was killed as a motorcycle hit him on Janukisingh road in Kaunia area of Barisal district on Sunday evening.
The deceased was identified as Tanvir, son of Delwar Hossain and class-III student of Uttar Kaunia Government Primary School, a news agency reported.
Md Nurul Islam, the Officer-in-Charge of Kaunia Police Station, said that the motorcycle ran over Tanvir while he was returning home after receiving his result from the school in the evening, leaving him critically injured.
Later, Tanvir was admitted to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
