A female patient have died reportedly for wrong treatment at a hospital in in Lakshmipur district on Friday.
Family members of the deceased, Fatema Begum, said she died due to 'wrong treatment' at SMK Hospital early in the morning. She was the wife of expatriate Abdul Qauder of South Joypur village of the district.
After getting the allegation, police detained two physicians of the private clinic.
Officer-in-charge of local police station M Mokter Hossian said police have detained four people, including two physicians-- Dr Kazi Foyeza Akter and Dr Golam Moin Uddin--of the hospital for questioning.
The family alleged that, Dr Kazi Foyeza Akhter aided by some other staff conducted a surgery on Fatema as she was admitted to the clinic with an ovarian tumor on Thursday.
The patient have died following the operation, alleged deceased's brother Ismail Hossain.
