One more Covid-19 patient died during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am today (Sunday, Oct 2, 2022) in Rangpur division, reports BSS.
Health officials said the new Covid-19 related casualty was reported from Lalmonirhat district raising the total number of fatalities to 1,291 in the division.
Meanwhile, three fresh cases were diagnosed after testing 16 samples with 16.75 percent positivity rate on Saturday.
"With the diagnosis of three new cases, the total number of Covid-19 patients rose to 64,879 in the division," Divisional Deputy Director (Health) Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman said.
The total number of recovered Covid-19 patients remained steady at 63,494 as no more infected patients healed during the last 24 hours here.
At the same time, 4,17,208 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered as the first, second and third doses in all eight districts of the division on Saturday.
With the inoculation of 3,20,924 doses, the total number of administered Covid-19 jabs rose to three crore 23 lakh 17 thousand and 778 in the division.
"Till Saturday, a total of 1,37,04,462 people got the first doses of Covid-19 jabs, and of them, 1,31,92,128 got the second doses and 54,21,188 got the booster doses," Dr. Rahman added.
