Police have recovered the body of a 38-year-old man from roadside in Sylhet’s Jaintapur upazila.
The deceased has been identified as Moktar Hossain, son of Rahamat Ullah from Telijuri village under Darbast union of the upazila.
Finding the body beside Telijuri approach road on Sylhet-Tamabil highway around 6:00am on Sunday, locals informed Darbast union parishad chairman Baharul Alam Bahar about the matter, who then informed the police, reports UNB.
Later, a police team led by Jaintapur Model police Station’s Officer In-Charge (OC) Golam Dastagir Ahmad came to the spot and recovered the body, locals said.
OC Dastagir said that there were injury marks on the body of Moktar.
“Police are trying to unveil the mystery regarding Moktar’s death. The body has been kept at the morgue of Osmani Medical College Hospital for autopsy,” he added.
