A fish farm owner was killed by a lightning strike at Assasuni upazila in Satkhira on Tuesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Jahangir Hossain, 45, son of one Moktar Ali - a resident of Kadakati village under the same upazila, reports a news agency.
Shahidul Islam Shahin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Assasuni police station, said a thunderbolt struck Jahangir while he was fishing near his home around 8:30am, leaving him dead on the spot.
