Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in special anti-drug drives arrested 27 suspects from different areas of Dhaka city for selling and consuming illegal drugs.
They also recovered 299 pieces of yaba tablets, 176 grams of heroin, eight bottles of wine and 100 grams of cannabis from their possession, according to a DMP statement issued on Friday.
A total of 24 cases were filed under the Narcotics Control Act against the suspects with the relevant police stations in the capital.
Started at 6:00am on Thursday, the operation ended at 6:00am on Friday.
